LED lighting is particularly well suited for parking garage applications. Parking garages are lit 24 hours a day, therefore using energy for lighting 24 hours a day. They are also higher maintenance bulbs typically burn out or break due to low ceilings and structural shaking due to vehicles driving in and out of the garage.

LED lighting can provide more uniform lighting in a parking garage and provide a whiter light, enhancing visibility and feelings of safety. A higher color rendering index helps garage users more quickly identify vehicles and proceed in and out with a greater sense of security.
